Artifacts: Core Content Area
Reflection:
The Core Content Area is a brochure for awareness to incorporate technology in Art. Art has many media which includes technology. In the brochure, there is a collection of websites supporting Art in schools, and websites that allows students to create artwork. Other websites that are listed in the brochure allows students to take virtual tours through a few museums. This is a great handout to give to parents, students and supporters of Art in schools.
This shows websites are out there to support Art through technology. There are a variety of websites that allow students to draw faces, paint pictures, photo enhancement and comic strips. The websites support the standards of Art through drawing, painting, and generating a variety Art while supporting the technology standards.
I learned that there are websites on the World Wide Web that are just for Art, especially virtual tours. Some of these websites were added to my Delicious account. Some of the things I would change to the brochure would divide it between
graphic art, drawing and painting, and comic strips. This could help to students and teachers utilize the websites of interest for their technology based artwork.
This artifact helped the Art teacher at the school to incorporate technology into her lessons. The impact can be assessed by creating a technology corner and rotate students on the computers to create a wide variety of websites. It would be measureable by having more technology based artwork displayed, especially in the yearly art show.
