Reflection:
The SWOT displays the technology that needs to be in place and howeffectively it is being used by rating the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats. Part of the Technology survey did help to complete a few of the categories to see where the school is within one of these ratings. Overall, there are a lot of strengths but some of the areas still are weak that need be addressed and turn into strengths.
By displaying the weakness of each category, a plan can be created to turn the weaknesses into strengths. The technology is present but professional development is needed for teachers to use the technology tools to the fullest potential of teaching and student learning. Teachers need to be trained to effectively use technology with student learning in mind.
The artifact did help me to learn that there are still many weaknesses that need to be addressed. The one thing that would change is taking a day to observe each teacher using technology to record more strengths. Using a survey did help
but sometimes seeing technology used gives a better idea to see where opportunities of growth can occur. Also, many teachers in the school use the digital tools differently to help engage their students.
This artifact helped to display where the school needs to improve with using technology effectively. The impact can be assessed by evaluations of using technology during small group, testing, and engaging activities. This can be measured by observing which teacher uses technology most effectively with his/her students by using LoTI evaluation.
