Artifacts: Blog
Reflection:
The blog was used to record field experiences and reflections of a variety of assignments that needed to be completed.
Also, classmates in the Instructional Technology Master’s Program were able to add comments to the entries which could be neutral or give feedback if the experience needed a positive boast. Within the blogs, photos, slideshows and videos were embeded with a reflection on the digital tools.
This artifact helped to share the similarities and differences of each person's experiences by reflecting of the same assignments of becoming a technology leader in our schools. Being able to express on the positives of each assignment allowed for others to read how implementing technology is a step-by-step process.
I learned to be cautious of reflecting on the negative aspects of the experience and try to reflect more on the positives. I did not want to reveal too much negative information into the blog, and need to make sure that I am reflecting like a professional educator. I would change by adding in more of my experiences that are not part of the assignments to give others a general idea of how I am growing as a technology leader.
This artifact helped to use my blog on my teacher page. I am able to send out messages or reflect some of the exciting events happening at my school. This impact could be assessed by encouraging others to use the blog feature on their teacher website for the next school year.
