Diversity
America is a very diverse country rich in culture, ethnicity, variety of languages, and different levels of socio-economic status. It is seen in the schools and classrooms in every state. Of course, each school has their own percentage of ethnicity and socio-economic group of students, which changes over the years. Educators must ensure they are closing the educational gap between each group of students. With technology becoming the new means of educating students, the technology gap must be closed as well.
Educators must be equipped with the tools and knowledge to help grow a technology educated student. Each student comes into the classroom with different levels and knowledge of using technology based on home usage. Educators must plan a unique lesson that would involve scaffolding and incorporating technology that is engaging for all students.
Below is a list that promotes diversity through technology which engages English Learning students (ELs), students of different reading levels and Early Intervention Students (EIP) of different grade levels:

step-by-step instruction in the computer lab. (2nd grade: ELs, EIP and different reading levels)
· Allowing students to use the Interwrite board to assist with lessons. (2nd and 1st Grade: ELs and EIP)
· Have the younger students to create pictures on the Paint program utilizing the paint tools as a lesson for Computer Specials. (Kindergarten and 1st Grade: ELs, EIP, different reading levels)
· Producing a background in Publisher to type book summaries in the computer lab. This requires step-by-step instruction to begin and time for tool
exploration. (5th Grade: ELs, EIP and different reading levels)
· Analyzing the testing data to display demographic gaps or improvements. (3-5th grades: all subgroups)
· Creating a VoiceThread that utilize recording of material being read, or students can type comments. (2nd grade: EL and different reading levels)
